The Jeep Wrangler JK vs. the New Wrangler JL - Explore the Differences of These Two Models in Lumberton

Have you heard the news? Jeep has released a new version of their beloved Jeep Wrangler this year, and it's the first major redesign the convertible model as undergone in more than a decade. At Lucas Chrysler Doge Jeep Ram near Cherry Hill, we're excited to offer our customers a selection of both the outgoing version and the new models on our lot, and we'll happily answer any questions you might have about the differences between these two generations of the same vehicle.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler can present a confusing choice for our customers in the greater Mt. Laurel and Fort Dix area, because there are actually two different versions of this SUV available. The previous generation, the Wrangler JK was in production for the first part of the year, while the new Wrangler JL generation is currently being produced.

Here in our Lumberton new vehicle collection, we happily supply our customers with a range of choices for both models. Telling the difference between them, and choosing the best model for you, comes down to knowing what updates the carmaker has made. Here are a few tidbits from our Jeep experts:

  • Engine options. While the previous Wrangler was solely powered by a V6 engine, the new generation has two gas-powered options, as well as a diesel powertrain slated for release in 2019.
  • Size. The new Wrangler is larger than the previous model, measuring taller and wider, and giving you more room inside the vehicle.
  • Upgraded materials. The carmaker is using newer materials in the latest Wrangler models, lending the vehicle and overall feeling of higher quality.

What hasn't changed though, are the things our customers have always loved about the Wrangler. You still get your pick of either two doors or four, and you still get to choose from either a soft-top or hardtop convertible roof.

Ready to meet these two vehicles in person, and see for yourself all of the changes and updates between the two generations? Stop by and visit us soon, and let our sales team introduce you to both Wrangler personalities, so you can decide which model works for you, before the Wrangler JK is gone forever.
