New Jeep Wrangler

Hit the Outdoors in a Jeep Wrangler

Overview

The Jeep Wrangler is an iconic vehicle in that it is one that served the military for decades in the twentieth century, but then transformed into one of the most popular off-road vehicles in America today. In fact, when most people think of off-road vehicles, they picture the Jeep Wrangler.

The Jeep Wrangler has seen few changes in the decades since it served as a military vehicle. In fact, most of the time, the only changes that Jeep ever truly makes with the Wrangler involve the power train or a few interior and technological upgrades.

What's New for the Latest Version of the Jeep Wrangler?

The Jeep Wrangler has always been known as a unique four-wheel drive vehicle, and this is one thing that the engineers at Jeep have only perfected over the years. Today's Jeep Wrangler can be outfitted with as much or as little luxury and technology features as one could want. Some things never change for the Jeep Wrangler, however. You'll still enjoy removable doors and a removable top as well as a folding windshield.

The latest Jeep Wrangler has added a few extra trim packages to fit most any driver's whims. One of the most iconic changes to the Jeep Wrangler is the addition of an optional diesel engine that will increase the towing power of the vehicle.

For several years, Jeep Wrangler has offered Camden, NJ shoppers both a two-door and a four-door option. The two-door Jeep Wrangler is only available in these trim packages:

  • Sport
  •
  • Sport S
  •
  • Rubicon (which is one of the top trim levels)

The four-door version of the Jeep Wrangler is offered to Trenton, NJ shoppers in four trim packages:

  • Sport
  •
  • Sport S
  •
  • Rubicon
  •
  • Sahara

The four-door version of the Jeep Wrangler is known as the Unlimited.

The standard engine in the Jeep Wrangler is now the 3.6-liter V6, which is offered to include eTorque® assist (a mild-hybrid version of the engine) in the Sahara trim level. Otherwise, the standard engine is the 3.6-liter V6 gasoline version.

Another added option for Mt. Laurel, NJ shoppers is the 2.0-liter four-cylinder which also adds the eTorque® feature (again, this feature is only available in the Sahara version).

The latest version of the Jeep Wrangler is also offering new special edition trim packages. These include the Willys, the Freedom, and the Black and Tan.

Performance

The 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine that is standard in the current (and previous) versions) offers up to 285 horsepower. It is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic transmission.

There is an optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is paired with an electric motor. Four-wheel drive is a standard feature of all Jeep Wrangler SUVs.

When it comes to performance, the Jeep Wrangler is fairly quick. It can reach 60 MPH in under seven seconds, no matter the engine you have under the hood (that goes for the four-cylinder as well as the V6 versions).

The latest version of the Jeep Wrangler also offers improved handling when compared with other models. Another improvement to the Jeep Wrangler is the enhancement of a smooth ride.

Interior and Design

The interior of the Jeep Wrangler is still much the same as previous models. The dashboard is "squared off" and interior room is not a caveat of the Jeep Wrangler. However, the four-door version does offer more cargo room.

Technology

One area in which the Jeep Wrangler is beginning to flourish is in the area of technology. All Jeep Wranglers are standard equipped with a software interface known as Uconnect®. The Jeep Wrangler offers access to Uconnect® via a touchscreen that is offered in three different sizes depending upon the Jeep Wrangler trim level you choose. However, you will have access to two neat pieces of software that connect with your smartphone: Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

These apps allow you to control various functions in the Jeep Wrangler by simply using your voice. Need to answer a phone call? Do so and never take your hands off the wheel. Send a text simply by speaking. Ask Siri for directions - it's literally a word away with these simple apps, all supported by Uconnect®.

Some Wrangler models offer a nine-speaker Alpine audio system.

Safety

The Jeep Wrangler will take you anywhere you want to go, but it will also get you there safely. Blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert systems are all available on the Jeep Wrangler to keep you safe as you traverse the great outdoors or even the concrete jungle of the city.

The Jeep Wrangler is available in the following trim levels:
